Rare World War One WW1 Pistol Holster Leather 1917.
Please note that it is rare to find a WW1 holster that it dated and signed by the maker.
Also, not all officers were issued with handguns/pistols as the majority were provided rifles.
This is a wonderful piece of history that has survived in remarkable condition when taking into the consideration the action that is has seen and that fact that it is over 100 years old.
30cm from top to bottom and 18cm across widest point.
It has a wonderful, deep, rich dark brown colour as shown in the images and it is complete with button, strap and section on rear for a belt to be passed through.
You can see the high quality stitching and work that has gone into making this piece which would have been an essential piece of kit on a WW1 soldier’s uniform.
Please note that it is a bit stiff possibly from drying out over the decades and needs just a little TLC to really bring it back to it’s glory. There are some minor scuff marks as shown.
