Description
This extraordinary framed fish montage is one of those wonderfully eccentric pieces that could only have emerged from a bygone era of sporting pride and meticulous presentation. Set against a striking green backing board, the preserved fish takes centre stage — a gleaming, life-like specimen flanked by an array of vintage angling equipment. Bamboo rods, brass reels, floats, line tins and tackle are all arranged with almost museum-like intent, creating a tableau that celebrates the quiet rituals of traditional fishing. The dark timber frame adds warmth and gravity, turning what might have been a simple sporting memento into a compelling slice of social history. Quirky, nostalgic and oddly captivating, this case is not just a display piece but a conversation starter — perfect for a study, hallway, pub interior or anyone with a soft spot for the peculiar charm of old-world pastimes.
